Mark Cuban Reacts to Trump Interview Suggestion: ‘I’m In’

Mark Cuban has indicated that he would be very willing to interview Donald Trump in a response to a user on X, formerly Twitter, who asked about a potential conversation between the pair.
“Set it up. I’m in,” wrote Cuban in response on September 4.
The interaction began with Cuban sharing a clip from Fox News where the co-host Jessica Tarlov talks about a Goldman Sachs study that suggests the U.S. GDP will decrease if Trump is elected and increase if Kamala Harris wins the election.
A user, who said they didn’t support Trump but works in the automotive industry, replied expressing frustration with Chinese electric vehicles on the U.S. market and asking Cuban about his opinion on punitive tariffs, which are high taxes imposed on imported goods.
Cuban responded saying, “One thing for sure about Kamala Harris, she listens to business and wants to help our industries succeed.”
Another user then replied to Cuban, saying, “Why do you refuse to interview Trump yourself? Get to the heart of it,” prompting his enthusiastic reply about interviewing the former president.
The post received a number of responses from people who appeared to like the idea of the conversation between the two. Others suggested Cuban was being unfair asking the X user to “set it up,” saying that as a fellow billionaire they “would think you could set that up by picking up the phone.”
Newsweek has contacted Cuban and Trump’s campaign via email for a comment about the possibility of an interview between the two.
Mark Cuban has become a vocal critic of Trump throughout the campaign. Most recently, on September 2, Cuban mocked Trump for his math skills in a post on X, sharing a clip of the former president having trouble multiplying 17 by 6.
“The Trump Files: Watch The Trumps Not Be Able To Multiply 17 By 6,” Cuban wrote.
Donald Trump is not the only one Cuban has targeted on social media. On September 4 Cuban slammed Elon Musk after the X owner encouraged his followers to watch an interview with podcaster Darryl Cooper who made controversial comments about the Holocaust. Cuban reposted Musk’s post saying: “Delete your account.” Musk has since deleted the comment.
It would not be the first time Trump agrees to a conversation with an unconventional interviewer. On August 12 the former president sat for an interview with Elon Musk in a widely publicized live stream broadcast on X.
